Why Kai

Why Kai is the solo electronic music project of Kai von der Lippe, a Norwegian musician and jazz pianist based in Oslo. Born in 1996, Kai developed a sound that blends organic live playing with electronic music elements, drawing on his background in jazz and club music. His work focuses on creating records with thoughtful production that later evolve into live performances, emphasizing the natural interaction between live instrumentation and electronic beats. This approach reflects his roots as a "jazz cat" who values live music while exploring techno and deep house influences. Some of his known releases include the EP "Deep Fishing" and the album "Tourist," showcasing his electronic style with a live music sensibility.
