Ásgeir Trausti Einarsson, known mononymously as Ásgeir, is a prolific Icelandic singer-songwriter and musician who has captivated audiences both in his homeland and internationally with his distinctive blend of folk, electronic, and indie pop sounds. Born on July 1, 1992, in the small town of Laugarbakki, Ásgeir soared to prominence in Iceland with his debut album, "Dýrð í dauðaþögn," in 2012, which became a critically acclaimed work and featured lyrics written by his father.
