Ambient Black Metal

Ambient black metal is a subgenre that merges the raw, aggressive textures and dark atmospheres of traditional black metal with the ethereal, atmospheric layers typical of ambient music. The result is a soundscape that evokes cosmic vastness or bleak, natural landscapes, often characterized by droning guitar work, hauntingly slow to mid-paced tempos, and raspy, shrieking vocals that seem to echo from afar.
