Pagan Metal

Pagan metal is a subgenre of black and folk metal that blends harsh, extreme metal elements with themes of pre-Christian mythology, nature, and ancient warrior cultures. Often incorporating folk instrumentation, atmospheric melodies, and epic song structures, it evokes the spirit of ancestral traditions and pagan mysticism. Bands in this genre may use harsh vocals, chanted passages, and melodic clean singing to create a dynamic contrast between aggression and melancholy. The lyrics frequently explore historical myths, battles, and a deep reverence for the land, often delivered in native languages to enhance authenticity.
