Ohio Indie

Ohio indie is a scrappy, melody-forward strain of Midwestern DIY rock that blends jangly guitars, basement-pop hooks, and earnest, plainspoken storytelling with a restless streak of experimentation. Songs often pivot from warm, homespun acoustics to wiry post-punk bite, pairing sing-along choruses with off-kilter rhythms, lo-fi textures, and occasional folk, emo, or alt-country shading. Lyrically it favors small-town details, faith and doubt, friendships fraying, and the quiet drama of everyday work and weather.
