Reggaeton Cristiano

Reggaeton Cristiano, or Christian Reggaeton, is a spiritually infused subgenre of reggaeton that emerged as a way for artists to express their faith through a popular and culturally resonant musical form. It melds the rhythmic allure of traditional reggaeton—that punchy blend of reggae and rap, characterized by its dembow beat—with lyrics that are centered around Christian themes and values. The genre provides a platform for artists to share personal testimonies, spread messages of hope, and worship, while still maintaining the vibrant, dance-inducing sounds that dominate the mainstream reggaeton scene. Artists like Alex Zurdo, Funky, and Lizzy Parra are at the forefront of this movement, utilizing street-savvy beats to connect with audiences and deliver musical sermons rooted in contemporary life, faith, and devotion.
