Giant Killers

Giant Killers is an indie-pop band and songwriting duo consisting of Jamie Wortley and Michael Brown. Formed in the mid-80s, they started gaining traction in the London music scene, playing gigs at various notable venues like Harlesden's Mean Fiddler and the Marquee Club. Initially, they struggled, but their persistence led them to secure major record deals with Arista and MCA. Despite their early success, they were eventually dropped from their label for not meeting the era's stringent sales expectations. Recently, after a long battle to regain their publishing rights, they have re-emerged, releasing music like "Around the Blocks" and "When This Time is Over" from their long-awaited album, "Songs for the Small Places," which was originally crafted in the mid-90s.

The duo's music reflects their personal growth and experiences, exploring themes of identity and place. Their sound blends elements of 90s influences with a unique touch, often likened to bands like The Cure and Kings of Convenience.
