Babette Haag is a renowned German percussionist born on October 31, 1967, in Munich. She comes from a musical family; her mother, Gudrun Haag, is a concert harpist, and her father, Wolfgang Haag, is a flautist with the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. Initially trained in piano, Babette was inspired to study percussion after hearing Peter Sadlo, a winner of the ARD Competition. She pursued her studies at the Freiburg Music Academy from 1988 to 1994. Since completing her education, Babette has performed extensively in various formations, including percussion recitals and concerts with orchestras. Her performances have taken her to numerous countries across Europe, the USA, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Nicaragua, and the Sudan.
