David Bazan
David Bazan is an American singer-songwriter best known as the driving force behind the indie rock project Pedro the Lion, where his intensely personal, story-forward songwriting helped make the band a touchstone of late-’90s and early-2000s indie. After years fronting Pedro the Lion, he began releasing music under his own name, shifting toward a more stripped-down, confessional style that kept his focus on sharp lyrical detail and emotional clarity.
Alongside his solo work, Bazan has also collaborated and released split records with other artists, and he’s remained a respected figure in the indie community for his candid approach to faith, doubt, and everyday life in his songs.
