Marcia Hines is an American-born, Australia-based singer best known for her huge impact on Australian pop, soul, and disco from the mid-1970s onward. After moving to Australia as a teenager, she became a breakout star with a run of major hits including “You,” “You Never Told Me Love Hurts,” and her signature disco anthem “I’ve Got the Music in Me,” and she went on to become one of the country’s best-selling female artists.
Beyond her own recordings, Hines is also widely recognized in Australia for her long-running role as a judge on *Australian Idol*, where she helped introduce her powerhouse vocals and deep musical experience to a new generation of fans.
