It often features bright, syncopated rhythms built for fiestas, with violins and jarana/huapanguera-style strumming or brass-and-percussion drive, depending on the group. Lyrics lean into everyday life—love, pride of place, family, countryside humor, and hard work—delivered with call-and-response vocals and a lively, improvisational feel.
