Rock Noise

Rock noise is a confrontational strain of rock that pushes volume, texture, and abrasion to the foreground, treating distortion as a primary instrument rather than an effect. Built on punk urgency and heavy-rock weight, it favors pummeling drums, overdriven bass, and guitars that squeal, scrape, and drone in dense walls of feedback. Vocals, when present, are often shouted or half-buried, functioning more as rhythmic grit than narrative centerpiece. Songs may lurch between blunt riff assaults and chaotic breakdowns, with sudden tempo shifts, mechanical repetition, and industrial-tinged clatter creating a harsh, physical intensity.
