**Sea Hags** were a gritty hard rock band bursting out of San Francisco’s late-'80s scene with a raw, bluesy swagger. Known for their scuzzy riffs and rebellious energy, the quartet—featuring Ron Yocom (vocals/guitar), Frankie Wilsey (lead guitar), Chris Schlosshardt (bass), and Adam Maples (drums)—dropped their self-titled debut album in 1989 on Def American Records. Tracks like “Doghouse” and “Half the Way Valley” blended punk edge with Sunset Strip sleaze, earning them a cult following. Despite their buzz, internal turbulence and the shifting musical landscape led to their breakup by the early ’90s. The posthumous *Live at CD Studios 1987* captures their raucous live spirit, while their studio recordings remain a time capsule of a band that burned fast and bright. Tragically, bassist Schlosshardt passed away in 2010, but Sea Hags’ messy magic still resonates with fans of unpolished, danger-filled rock ’n’ roll.
