Dope Aviators were formed in Prague in 2004 by Kasko and his former classmate Sandozz, who bonded over their shared love of 60s psychedelia, Syd Barrett, and Spiritualized. Emilia joined the band two years later. The group's sound is influenced by psychedelic and shoegaze elements, with albums like *Product* and releases such as *Another Stupid Song*. After Sandozz left to focus on his project Radio Rebels, the remaining members pursued careers in science, working in DNA research, before returning to music. They have supported artists like Styrofoam and The xx, and have been active in the Prague music scene.
Their music reflects a blend of creative freedom and scientific curiosity, with the band members exploring themes that connect philosophy and molecular biology. Dope Aviators have continued to evolve, focusing on live performances and new music projects.
