Superheaven, formerly known as Daylight, is an American rock band hailing from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The group was formed in 2007 and through their evolution, they've navigated the waters of gritty grunge-infused rock music with an unwavering commitment to their heavy, melodic sound. The band comprises Taylor Madison (guitar/vocals), Jake Clarke (guitar/vocals), Joe Kane (bass), and Zack Robbins (drums). They underwent a name change to Superheaven in order to avoid legal issues with other bands named Daylight.
Superheaven cemented their place in the alternative rock scene with the release of their critically acclaimed album "Jar" in 2013, which was praised for its emotionally charged lyrics and a nostalgic nod to 90s grunge. Following the success of their debut, the band released "Ours Is Chrome" in 2015 under their new moniker. The album showcased the band's growth, featuring a more matured sound while preserving the raw energy that initially garnered their fanbase's attention. With tracks like "Youngest Daughter" and their distinct, heavy riffs paired with introspective lyricism, Superheaven continued to draw in audiences who yearned for the grunge aesthetic reimagined with a contemporary twist. Though they announced an indefinite hiatus shortly after their 2015 tour, the impact of Superheaven's music still resonates within the alt-rock community.
