Black Helium

Black Helium are a London-based psychedelic rock crew known for their fuzzed-out grooves and mind-bending sonic textures. Formed in the late 2010s, the quartet – featuring brothers David and Stuart West (guitar/vocals and bass respectively), drummer Diogo Gomes, and keyboardist Beck Harvey – brew a potent cocktail of heavy psych, krautrock repetition, and shoegaze atmospherics. Their sound earned them slots touring with like-minded acts like Gum Takes Tooth and The Heads, cementing their rep as purveyors of beautifully unhinged, acid-tinged rock.

The band’s discography shows their evolution from lysergic jams to tighter, more menacing arrangements. They dropped their debut *Primitive Fuck* (2019) via Riot Season Records, followed by 2022’s *The Wholly Other* (Box Records), which added dark-folk undertones to their signature noise-rock swirl.
