FACS

FACS is a Chicago-based band known for their immersive and intense post-punk sound that merges atmospheric layering with abrasive sonic textures. Formed in the wake of the 2017 disbandment of the group Disappears, the trio's lineage in the Chicago underground scene is notable, with members Brian Case (vocals, guitar), Noah Leger (drums), and Alianna Kalaba (bass) all having deep roots in various musical projects. Their music often explores themes of existential dread and psychological landscapes, delivered with a captivating blend of repetition, dissonance, and precise rhythm.

Since their debut with "Negative Houses" in 2018, FACS has maintained a prolific streak, steadily releasing new material that refines and evolves their dark and enigmatic sound. Albums like "Lifelike" and "Void Moments" have further established their reputation for crafting densely layered, hypnotic records that demand attentive listening. The trio's striking live performances have also played a crucial role in building their growing following, as documented in the "FACS | Audiotree Far Out" session. Releases like "Present Tense" and "Strawberry Cough" showcase their ability to harness tension and release, cementing FACS's standing as a creative force within the contemporary post-punk landscape.
