Steve Queralt

Steve Queralt is best known as the longtime bassist for the iconic shoegaze band Ride, anchoring their influential albums such as Nowhere (1990) and Going Blank Again (1992), as well as their more recent work including Interplay (2024). With a reputation for strong, driving basslines and a notably low-key presence within the group, Queralt has kept a modest profile for much of his career, letting his musicianship speak for itself.

In 2025, he stepped out as a solo artist, releasing his debut album Swallow, a moody, evocative collection blending atmospheric soundscapes, electronic influences, and collaborations with notable artists like Lush’s Emma Anderson and Verity Susman of Electrelane. Queralt’s solo work is described as introspective and nostalgic, reflecting both his roots in shoegaze and his willingness to push into new musical territories.
