Hugo Wolf

Hugo Wolf was an Austrian composer born in 1860. He is best known for his Lieder, or art songs, which are characterized by their expressive melodies and complex harmonies. Wolf's Lieder often set texts by German poets such as Goethe, Mörike, and Eichendorff. He also composed several operas, including "Der Corregidor" and "Tannhäuser." Wolf died in 1903 at the age of 43.
