**wor_kspace** is the electronic music project of Glasgow-based musician and producer Finlay Macdonald, who crafts tracks blending bubbling synths, melodic vocals, playful keyboards, and old-school beats for a warm, welcoming vibe. Drawing from his Cumbernauld roots—think brutalist architecture meeting nature—his lyrics explore human interaction with the future, paired with his own paintings, photography, and films, all made in his analogue tape-based home studio called Analogue Mountain.

Kicking off with the debut single **"Weekend"** around 2020, he's dropped releases like the *shipping* EP (2022) with tracks named after sea areas, the self-titled *workspace* (2022) featuring "transfer" and "weekend," and his second studio album **Collapsing The Wave Function** (2026), including "The Autonomy of Frames," "CCTV," and "poly_mas." Finlay keeps it fresh with singles over albums, collaborating occasionally—like his brother Al on bass—and cites influences from Hawkwind to Embryo.
