Flyying Colours

Flyying Colours is an Australian band that masterfully blends the swirling contours of shoegaze with melodic noise pop, creating sonic landscapes that are as colorful and entrancing as their name suggests. Formed in Melbourne, the group has been active since the early 2010s, cementing their position in the Australasian music scene with their lush soundscapes and mesmerizing live performances. Members include Brodie J Brümmer (guitar, vocals), Gemma O'Connor (guitar, vocals), Melanie Barbaro (bass, vocals) and Andy Lloyd-Russell (drums).

The band made its mark with the release of self-titled EP 'Flyying Colours' in 2013, followed by their acclaimed debut album 'Mindfullness' in 2016. The collective's penchant for crafting atmospheric layers of guitars, coupled with driving rhythms and ethereal vocals, continued to evolve with their subsequent releases. Drawing influences from the shoegaze greats of the late '80s and '90s but with a modern twist, Flyying Colours has successfully captivated audiences both domestically and internationally. Their latest release at the time of this writing, the ambitious 'Fantasy Country,' builds upon their previous work, delivering a rich tapestry of sound that showcases their growth as artists and reaffirms their staying power in the indie music scene. With tracks such as "Goodbye to Music" and "Big Mess," they traverse emotional terrains and sonic peaks that resonate with fans across the globe.
