Framing Hanley is an American rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005, originally emerging from the earlier post‑grunge/hard‑rock project Embers Fade; the group’s lineup is fronted by lead vocalist Kenneth Nixon and is known for a blend of melodic rock, pop‑punk, and alternative styles. Their debut studio album, The Moment, was released in August 2007 and earned them a following with its polished, radio‑friendly sound, while their sophomore effort, A Promise to Burn, entered production in November 2009 and showcased a more expansive, emotionally driven approach. In August 2012 the band announced their third full‑length record, The Sum of Who We Are, continuing their evolution toward a mainstream pop‑rock aesthetic while maintaining the catchy, uplifting hooks that have defined their career.
