FAET

FAET is a proudly feminist, LGBTQ+ affirming band deeply inspired by the Riot Grrrl movement and spiritual folklore. The project is led by multi-instrumentalist Mandy James, along with her former Saturn Return bandmates Lebb O Nidus and Amber McDonald, plus Shane Kayat. Their music tackles themes like queer empowerment, body positivity, female friendship, and rebirth, all wrapped in a sound with an edge — much like the fairylike creatures their name references. FAET’s releases, such as *Face It* and *Ebb & Flood*, feature tarot-card-style artwork, with the band planning to create their own oracle deck to highlight the empowering magic in folklore and life.

They have gained recognition for their urgent, impactful lyrics and vibrant sound, with music that resonates strongly with listeners who challenge societal norms. FAET’s blend of meaningful messages and musical edge makes them a fresh and important voice in the contemporary scene.
