Lipsticism

Lipsticism is the solo project of musician and producer Alana Schachtel, born and raised near Chicago. Alana spent a significant part of her adult life in the Pacific Northwest, where she began experimenting with sound. Her background in dance heavily influences her music, often starting with imagined choreography to create rhythms and melodies. Lipsticism's sound blends elements of ambient, house, shoegaze, and experimental pop, with a focus on textural sonic atmospheres and strong pop sensibilities. Alana has toured and performed with notable artists such as Avey Tare of Animal Collective and Blue Hawaii.

Recent releases from Lipsticism include her debut album *Wanted To Show You*, which explores themes of grief, intimacy, and emotional persistence through a blend of ambient haze and glistening rhythms. Her music often captures a sense of longing and emotional depth, creating a unique and immersive listening experience.
