Laura Lee & the Jettes

Laura Lee & The Jettes is a Berlin-based indie rock project led by Laura Lee, who first gained recognition as one half of the acclaimed indie duo Gurr. Launching her solo vision during the 2020 pandemic, Laura Lee & The Jettes blend grunge and late-90s indie rock with a melodic, jangle-pop charm, delivering songs that explore themes of love, heartbreak, and new beginnings. Their debut album, *Wasteland* (2021), showcased an assured and catchy sound, while their follow-up *Tough Love Paradigm* (2025) dives deeper into emotional complexities with sharp songwriting and thoughtful production by Grammy-winner Collin Dupuis and UK producer Rhys Edwards.

The band quickly gained traction with international festival appearances such as SXSW and Reeperbahn Festival, plus radio airplay on BBC 6, NPR, and various US stations. Laura Lee’s lyrics often tackle poignant personal and social topics, including the challenges of motherhood, love, and connection, all wrapped in an energetic and unique indie rock package. Backed by a supportive band dubbed The Jettes, Laura Lee balances raw confidence with a fresh indie sound rooted in influences like Dinosaur Jr. and Courtney Barnett, making her a distinctive voice in today’s indie scene.
