Weedpecker is a psychedelic stoner rock band hailing from Warsaw, Poland. Formed by brothers Piotr and Bartek Dobry along with drummer Kacper Pawłowski, and later joined by bassist Robert Kulakowski, the group first pierced the vibrant underground rock scene with their self-titled debut album "Weedpecker" in 2013. Their sound is characterized by a heavy yet melodic blend of fuzz-laden guitars and dreamy, atmospheric arrangements that manage to capture the exploratory spirit of psychedelic music while grounding itself in the weighty riffs and grooves of stoner rock.
Over the subsequent years, Weedpecker has honed their craft and built upon their initial success, releasing a series of well-received albums that showcase their evolution and depth as musicians. Their second album, "II," arrived in 2015, further solidifying their place in the genre with its enhanced dynamics and ethereal qualities. This was followed by the critically acclaimed "III" in 2018, an album that saw the band experimenting with even more complex textures and moods. After this release, the original brothers left the band, now consisting of Kacper Pawłowski, Robert Kulakowski and new members. Their latest offering, "IV: The Stream of Forgotten Thoughts," released in 2021, continues their tradition of creating expansive sonic landscapes, evoking a sense of both introspection and boundless possibility, and leaves fans eagerly waiting to see where their musical journey will take them next.
