Ribbon Skirt

Ribbon Skirt is a post-punk band from Montreal, led by the talented Anishinaabe musician Tashiina Buswa. Known for their captivating live performances, they have played at various festivals across Canada and the U.S., including SXSW, New Colossus, and Pop Montreal. The band has shared stages with notable acts like Dehd, Ombiigizi, Packs, and Chad VanGaalen. Their debut album, *Bite Down*, marks a significant shift in their sound, embracing darker and more introspective themes that delve into memory, grief, and Buswa's connection to her Indigenous identity. The album is produced by Scott ‘Monty’ Munro and Marlaena Moore, with mixing credits going to the legendary Greg Saunier of Deerhoof.
