Jeff Krol is a talented drummer, composer, and educator calling New York City home. Hailing from the small town of Corning in western New York, he kicked off his music journey on piano at age eight before switching to drums at 15, later earning a BM from The Eastman School of Music and an MM from The Manhattan School of Music. He's soaked up wisdom from jazz heavyweights like John Riley, Phil Markowitz, Bobby Sanabria, and Gerald Cleaver, and keeps busy gigging at iconic NYC spots such as Smalls, Ornithology, and Dizzy’s Club, while also teaching at The Hudson School in Hoboken, NJ, where he leads the jazz ensemble.
Lately, Jeff's been laying down killer grooves in the Silvan Joray Trio alongside guitarist Silvan Joray and bassist Jakob Ebers—their debut album *Sky Garden*, packed with tracks like "Fractometry," "Reverie," "You're Beating Around the Bush," and the title cut, drops February 27, 2026, showcasing their tight, inventive jazz interplay recorded at Avaloch Farm.
