Still Corners

Still Corners is an enigmatic dream pop duo that crafts atmospheric, reverb-laden soundscapes imbued with a nostalgic cinematic quality. Anchored by songwriter/producer Greg Hughes and vocalist Tessa Murray, the band formed in 2009 after the two met by chance on a London train platform. They quickly bonded over a shared love for vintage music and films, which has heavily influenced their ethereal and melodic sound. The duo debuted with their first album "Creatures of an Hour" in 2011 which received critical acclaim for its lush, dreamy production and haunting vocals. Their fifth album "Slow Air" (2018) saw the band delve into a deeper, more expansive sonic palette, fusing their dream-pop sensibilities with a desert-noir ambience. Their most recent album "The Last Exit" (2021), along with singles like "White Sands" and "Heavy Days", solidifies their position as purveyors of immersive, cinematic pop, drawing listeners into their secret world of shadowy reverie and endless highways stretching into the horizon.
