Jonathan Cain is an American keyboardist and songwriter best known as a longtime member of Journey, where he co-wrote or helped write some of the band’s biggest hits—including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Open Arms,” and “Faithfully.” Before joining Journey in 1980, he played with The Babys, and his melodic, piano-driven style became a major part of Journey’s arena-rock sound through the band’s peak years and beyond.
Outside of Journey, Cain has released solo music that often leans into inspirational and faith-oriented themes, alongside other projects and collaborations. Over the years he’s remained an active touring musician and a familiar name to anyone who’s ever belted out Journey’s choruses in a car, at a bar, or at the top of their lungs in an arena.
