Jazzy Dnb

Jazzy DnB, also known as Jazzstep, is a sub-genre of drum and bass that melds the high-tempo, breakbeat-driven rhythms of DnB with the harmonic complexities and instrumental elements of jazz. Characterized by its double bass plucks, brass section flares, and piano improvisations, Jazzy DnB presents a smooth, soulful soundscape that often features sampled jazz riffs or live instrumentals that provide a rich, organic texture. The genre achieves a balance between the kinetic energy of electronic dance music and the improvisational and melodic nature of jazz, creating an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and accessible. Pioneers and prominent artists in the scene such as LTJ Bukem and Paul SG have contributed greatly to the genre's depth by blending the two styles seamlessly in their productions, appealing to listeners across both jazz and electronic music fan bases.
