Neo-kraut
Neo-kraut is a modern evolution of the krautrock genre that emerged in Germany in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It blends the pioneering spirit of early krautrock with contemporary sounds, producing a hypnotic fusion of motorik rhythms, psychedelic textures, and electronic experimentation. Bands like Ashinoa and Motrik build on the genre's foundations with driving, repetitive beats and cosmic synth layers, while others such as Minami Deutsch and Moon Duo incorporate elements of shoegaze and post-rock into their expansive soundscapes. Neo-kraut often retains the genre's original affinity for improvisation and avant-garde influences, pushing the boundaries of rock music into new, uncharted territories.
