Sambass, also known as Drum 'n' Bossa, is a vibrant fusion genre blending the rhythmic complexity and cultural vibrance of Brazilian samba with the deep basslines and breakbeat tempos of drum and bass. Originating in the late 1990s and early 2000s, this genre marries the organic percussion and harmonic richness of samba to the futuristic, high-energy pulses of electronic dance music, resulting in tracks that are both dancefloor-ready and rich in traditional flavor.
