Speedcore

Speedcore is an aggressive and extreme subgenre of hardcore techno that emerged in the mid-1990s, defined by its blisteringly fast tempo, often exceeding 300 beats per minute. The music is characterized by a relentless onslaught of kick drums, distorted basslines, and a raw, anarchic energy that pushes the boundaries of intensity and speed. Speedcore tracks frequently utilize dissonant melodies, atonal noise, and samples from movies or speeches, creating a chaotic and abrasive soundscape that is not for the faint of heart. Artists like Khaoz Engine, Bryan Fury, and Hellfish are known for their uncompromising approach to sound design and production, delivering sonic assaults that are both confrontational and technically intricate. Speedcore is not just music but an auditory experience that embodies the relentless momentum of a high-velocity juggernaut.
