The Vaccines

The Vaccines are a London-based indie rock band formed in 2010 that quickly rose to fame with their spirited, witty take on the garage rock and post-punk revival styles. Comprised initially of members Justin Young (vocals, guitar), Freddie Cowan (guitar), Árni Árnason (bass), and Pete Robertson (drums), the group made a splash with their debut album "What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?" released in 2011. Their punchy anthems, unapologetic lyricism, and energetic live performances garnered a fervent fanbase and critical acclaim.

Through the 2010s and into the 2020s, The Vaccines continued to evolve, both in sound and membership, with drummer Pete Robertson departing in 2016 and being replaced by Yoann Intonti. Additionally, keyboardist Timothy Lanham became a more permanent fixture of the band's line-up. Their more recent work, as seen in singles like "Love To Walk Away", "Lunar Eclipse", and "Back In Love City", exemplifies their persistent desire to push beyond their original sound, experimenting with broader influences and honing their songwriting to craft infectious, resonant rock tracks. With numerous high-profile festival appearances and critically lauded albums, The Vaccines sustain their position as a staple of British indie rock, beloved for both their enduring hits and their drive to innovate within the genre.
