Jumpstyle

Jumpstyle is a high-energy music genre that emerged from the Belgian and Dutch hard dance scenes in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It is characterized by its pulsating bass lines, hard-hitting beats, and distinctive rhythm patterns that often sit around 140-150 beats per minute, creating an electrifying atmosphere that is impossible to stand still to. This genre draws upon influences from hardstyle, techno, and even elements of gabber, though it maintains a unique identity with its rhythm-focused tracks that encourage a specific type of dance, also called jumpstyle, where dancers perform a series of jumps, kicks, and stomps in time with the music. Artists like Chicago Zone, DJ Ghost, and DJ Furax have become synonymous with the scene, pushing the boundaries with their innovative productions that not only fuel the dance floors but also contribute to the evolving sound of jumpstyle.
