Fazerdaze

Fazerdaze is the dream pop project of New Zealand-based musician Amelia Murray. Emerging from the vibrant indie scene of Auckland, Fazerdaze began as a personal experiment in recording and songwriting in Murray's own bedroom studio. The project quickly gained recognition for its shoegazey sound, characterised by ethereal vocals, jangling guitars, and lo-fi aesthetics. Fazerdaze’s self-titled debut EP, launched in 2014, introduced a fresh-faced talent with a knack for intimate and introspective melodies, quickly catching the ears of indie enthusiasts.

Building on the momentum of her early releases, Amelia Murray released her first full-length album "Morningside" in 2017, a significant step forward that saw her refine her sound and further establish her identity as Fazerdaze. With tracks such as "Lucky Girl" and "Jennifer", the album received international acclaim and expanded her audience worldwide. Fazerdaze's subsequent singles "Break!" and "Flood Into", alongside the deeply introspective track "Bigger", showcase Amelia's evolution as an artist, displaying increased complexity in both production and lyrical depth. The vulnerability and sincerity of Fazerdaze’s musings on identity, growth, and the struggles of navigating young adulthood continue to resonate with a growing fanbase, eager for each new chapter in the artist's journey.
