Anna Petrova

**Anna Petrova** is a Bulgarian pianist celebrated for her "artistic, clear and enlightened" performances praised by BBC Magazine and other critics. She has an impressive record as a prizewinner in international competitions like the José Roca and Queen Elisabeth piano competitions. Petrova has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing. Alongside her solo career, she is an avid chamber musician, a member of the award-winning Carr-Petrova Duo and the Iris Trio, and she also works as an educator. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Manhattan School of Music and is currently an Assistant Professor of Piano at the University of Louisville, where she mentors award-winning students.

In 2022, Anna released her solo album *A Slavic Heart*, featuring music by iconic Slavic composers Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, and the Bulgarian Vladigerov. This album is a deeply personal project that reflects her dual cultural heritage and musical identity, exploring the "heart" as a metaphor for emotional core and cultural crossroads. Petrova is also engaged in recording the complete piano sonatas of the Russian composer Samuil Feinberg for Naxos and is active internationally as a performer, artistic director, and music educator.
